A quick and easy weeknight dinner recipe for honey mustard salmon and green beans all baked on one sheet pan! You know what that means — easier clean-up!
How are we doing today? Are you ready for Thanksgiving yet?
So.. confessing the weeks dilemma in 3…2…1… We were suppose to be making a very warm buttery, pecan pie here together on the blog today. But then last week, I made this huge beautiful pie and it rained so in order to take some pictures, I waited a whole day without touching the pie — the things I do for pictures. So finally, here I am sitting down with my slice, after picturing of course, and you know what! The center. Starts leaking. Not like a puddle or anything, but just enough to get me sweating. It hadn’t set completely. Ouhf! So rather than bringing you a pecan pie that just wouldn’t set, i’m taking it back to the drawing board and i’ve actually got another idea to jazz it up a tad bit more! I’m hoping to perfect it in time for Christmas, because Thanksgiving is all about pumpkin pie anyway, am I right, yo?
So enters this one sheet pan honey mustard salmon. Which is really a superstar on it’s own. I don’t mean to make it sound like it’s someones second choice. Which BEE-TEE-DOUBLE U comes complete with green beans that roast themselves on the same pan. In the same honey mustard glaze. <– easy dinners are my most favorite things!
Let’s talk about what goes into this honey mustard salmon recipe. The honey mustard glaze is simple! Just combine olive oil, dijon mustard, honey, brown sugar, red pepper flakes, and some garlic in a small bowl along with a small pinch of salt and black pepper.
Now let the honey mustard salmon marinate for 10-15 minutes. If your one of those super organized people, who like to get a jump start on dinner, you can let it marinate for up to 30 minutes. This is definitely not the kind of salmon recipe where you’d marinate overnight. It’s quick and easy and is meant to be on the table in 30 minutes.
I like to let the salmon marinate in a separate baking dish! Yes, I dirtied one EXTRA dish on a ONE sheet pan dinner recipe. But if you’d like, you can certainly let the fish marinate directly on the sheet pan. Spray the pan with a bit of cooking spray so that nothing sticks. Drop two tablespoons of honey mustard glaze on one side of the sheet pan, spread, and place your fish on top. Season the salmon with salt and pepper. Then, drizzle ⅔ of the remaining glaze on top of the fish, using a brush or the back of a spoon, spread it out.
The remaining honey mustard sauce is going to be tossed with the green beans *just* before baking.
And there you go! An easy, breezy one sheet pan honey mustard salmon recipe that practically requires no work. Pop it all in the oven and sit back while dinner makes itself for you! I’ve served this salmon with brown rice on the side as well as fluffed quinoa. We loved it with both.
Now if only the rest of the week would be this easy and breezy! You guys, big news to share with you. And I can *barely* hold it in. I’ll share Monday — if it’s all set and done! **Fingers crossed**
One Sheet Pan Honey Mustard Salmon with Green Beans
A quick and easy weeknight dinner recipe for honey mustard salmon and green beans all baked on one sheet pan! You know what that means -- easier clean-up!
Ingredients
- 4-5 (6 oz) salmon filets
- salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons EACH: dijon mustard AND honey
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 teaspoon minced garlic
- 12 ounces green beans, cleaned and trimmed
Instructions
- Position a rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 400ºF. Line a baking sheet with foil, spray with cooking spray, set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, dijon, honey, browns sugar, red pepper flakes, and minced garlic.
- Drizzle 2 tablespoons of the honey mustard sauce on one side of the baking sheet. Spread using the back of a spoon or a brush, on just ½ the baking sheet. Place the salmon filets on top and drizzle ⅔'s of the remaining sauce on the salmon. Use a brush (or the back of a spoon to spread). Allow the salmon to marinate for 10-15 minutes minutes or up to 30 minutes. Save the remaining honey mustard sauce for the next step. Just before baking, place the green beans in the bowl that contains the honey mustard sauce. Using a large spoon, toss the green beans so they are evenly coated with the sauce. Arrange the beans on the opposite side of the salmon.
- Allow the salmon to bake for 14-18 minutes or until cooked through. Mine took exactly 14 minutes and I let it broil for an extra 1-2 minutes. Baking time will vary depending on the thickness of the filet. If yours is super thick, you may need a little extra time than whats suggested. Serve warm with brown rice or quinoa on the side.
Notes
I do not recommend marinating the salmon for more than 30 minutes.

Found this recipe on Pinterest. Absolutely delicious!
I plan on attempting this for when my husband gets back from deployment, hope I don’t find a way to mess it up (fingers crossed). However since I am very OCD, I did not see in the recipe on how long the green beans are also in the oven. Unless when it was said, “allow salmon to bake for 14-18 minutes” that also meant, thats how long I leave the green beans in for as well? Just wanted to make sure 🙂
I made this last night, everyone loved it. I doubled the sauce/marinade because I had 2lbs of salmon I was baking. I will definately make this again. Thanks so much for the recipe.
This meal was so easy to make. I recently went to Kitchen 208 in Charleston, SC and had the Honey Mustard Salmon Sandwich. Suffice it to say that this deal was amazing and I needed a recipe to help me recreate it. Thank you for this recipe as this helped me to make the sandwich I’ve been dreaming about for a week!
Love hearing that! Thanks!
