Easy 3 ingredient funfetti cake batter milkshakes! Whip up these milkshakes in just a few minutes. They are the PERFECT quick and healthy summer treat!
Sprinkles! I’ve had a love affair with sprinkles as long as I can remember. They are most definitely on my top 5 most favoritest (yes, I invented that word) things in the world. I was the kid that picked a cupcake not for the flavor, but for the sheer amount of sprinkles it was topped with!
So you can just imagine how much I love this funfetti cake batter milkshake. Especially because they whip up in a matter of seconds and are actually skinny + diet friendly. And holy moly! I’ll take anything with sprinkles that’s skinny minny!
Sprinkles + Confetti + Funfetti + skinny + diet friendly + cake batter + milkshake = Hands down, the best thing in the world!
I used just 3 ingredients to make this cake batter milkshake. So right off the bat I can tell you, we’re literally using CAKE BATTER! You need a 1/2 a cup of funfetti cake mix, 1 banana, and 1 cup of milk. That’s it! And additional sprinkles are definitely encouraged 😉
I prefer this milkshake with a banana that’s just right. No brown spots at all, pleez. The husband swears by the spotted bananas. I think the compromise is how much of that banana flavor you want peeking through. I want my milkshake to taste like cake batter and for me, the banana is there for nutrition and body. If you want that banana flavor to be apparent just use a banana that’s more ripe. Keep in mind that riper bananas are naturally sweeter, so the more ripe your banana, the sweeter the milkshake will be. You can cut back the cake mix by 2 tablespoons, whip up the milkshakes and taste. Adjust with additional cake mix if you need more sugar.
Either way, this cake batter milkshake is the perfect treat for hot summer days!
Funfetti Cake Batter Milkshake
Easy 3 ingredient funfetti cake batter milkshakes! Whip up these milkshakes in just a few minutes. They are the PERFECT quick and healthy summer treat!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup funfetti cake mix
- 1 banana (ripe or just right - see note)
- 1 cup milk (almond, soy, cows whatever you prefer)
- 8-10 ice cubes
- additional sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
Blend all the ingredients in a blender except for the sprinkles. Continue to blend until all the ingredients are mixed and the ice breaks down. Pour milkshakes into glasses. Stir in additional sprinkles as desired.
Notes
- Using a ripe banana with lots of brown spots will give the milkshake a more banana flavor + make it sweeter - cut back 2 tablespoons of the cake batter before mixing so as to not make it super sweet.
If you use a banana without any brown spots, the banana flavor is less apparent in the milkshake with just the cake batter flavor. I prefer my milkshake this way. - I dipped my serving glasses in a little bit of light corn syrup and then rolled them around in non-pareils to get those sprinkled rims.
