An afternoon pick-me-up that doesn’t even require an espresso machine! This easy iced caffe latte is ready in 5 minutes and tastes just as good as the coffee shop version!
Any one that knows me at all knows that I L-O-V-E c♥ffee. In any form. Give it to me iced or piping hot. I’ll take it. If it’s a hot summer day and I’ve got a mason jar of this iced caffe latte to cool me down, I am the happiest camper around!
I’ve had a love affair with coffee since like the 3rd grade. Okay, before you start freaking out, I mean just the smell of coffee. I can’t get enough! In high school when I actually started drinking the stuff (I know shame on me) I was hooked. I just couldn’t get enough! And when college came around, I could guzzle gallons worth. I didn’t. But I could’ve.
Nowadays we’re a little more refined around here. When back in the 10th grade even gas station coffee with mountains of sugar would do. Currently (and by currently I mean for the past year) the hubby and I are on a French press kick. “Coffee just doesn’t taste as good if it isn’t made in the French press” – according to the hubby. And really, who am I to disagree? According to the him, even his favorite (and mine,) coffee shops coffee tastes better at home in the French press.
Btw. If you’re itching to try out the Tim Horton’s coffee we love so much, you can purchase it here.
Last week when we were in Toronto (pics coming soon!) we went to the cutest little market. It’s the St. Lawrence market if you live there or are planning a visit. Don’t think… just go. It’s too cute! And inside this cutest little market they had an AMAZING coffee and tea shop. Where they not only made you the coffee, but also sell you whole beans. Lots and lots of whole bean. They also roast the beans themselves. Is this not the best place on earth? Don’t answer that, I’m positive I already know the answer.
Thank goodness we live in a world with espresso powder! I don’t know where I would be without it. It is the base of this iced caffe latte. So no need to pull out that 300 something dollar espresso machine. I’ve got your iced latte fix without it thankyouverymuch.
Ingredients for this iced latte: ✓ instant espresso powder (or pre-made espresso) ✓ instant coffee powder ✓ hot water ✓ sweetener (sugar, honey, agave nectar, whatever you fancy) ✓ half and half ✓ milk (cows, soy, almond, coconut) ✓ flavored syrup (if you so desire) ✓ ice, ice baby
When I say this recipe is easy it’s realllllly easy.
All you need to do for this iced caffe latte yumminess is toss a few ingredients together and blend. It’s that easy! If you’ve got an espresso machine, by all means, use it to make your espresso! If not, a couple tablespoons of hot water along with the espresso + coffee powder will get you there.
I used an emersion stick blender to blend my ingredients, a blender will work too. If you’re using honey or agave nectar, you can even combine everything in a mason jar, screw on the lid and give it a good shake – no blender needed!
Get your crazy straws ready, we’re getting on this ice caffe latte frenzy and never getting off!

I have been making this recipe since last summer. The entire family and many of our guests love it. The only change we did to the recipe was instead of using of sugar and liquid milk, we just use condensed milk.
