These are the top 10 most pinned recipes on Pinterest from Little Spice Jar in 2014. You guys have great taste!
Hiya guys! It’s me again. And that too on a Tuesday. You know that that doesn’t happen too often here on Little Spice Jar.
I hope you’re totally enjoying the last Tuesday of 2014! Whoop! We’re about to start a brand new year, can you believe it? I, for one, cannot. Where did it all go? And i’m not ready to make crazy New Years resolutions like quitting desserts. Nope, definitely can’t make that one.
In the meantime, here are the top 10 most pinned recipes from my blog of 2014. Starting with number 10. Because, we’re saving the best for last!
10. Italian Orzo Tomato Spinach Soup
This soup is loaded with classic Italian flavors and it’s simple to make! It’s a one pot and 30 minute kind of meal that’s perfect quick dinners and bagged lunches. Orzo tomato spinach soup is completely vegetarian friendly and it’s so warm and comforting. The roasted garlic is what makes this soup so gosh darn good! It’s the perfect companion of a super chilly day.
9. Gruyere, Mushroom, & Caramelized Onion Bites
Holy guacamole! This recipe just went up in early December and it’s already on the top 10 most pinned recipes list! We’re talking caramelized onion bites with sautéed crimini mushrooms, balsamic caramelized onions, and applewood smoked gruyere cheese. The perfect little puff pastry appetizers. They’re the ideal treats to serve up as appetizers for dinner parties. *cough cough* New Years Eve *cough cough*.
8. Greek Orzo Pasta Salad with Chicken
This healthy Greek Orzo Pasta Salad with chicken is so easy to whip up, and it’s absolutely amazing when tossed in a light, refreshing lemon-honey and herb vinaigrette that’s packed with tons of flavor. It’s the perfect salad to have if you’re planning on eating a little healthier this coming year!
7. Garlic Parmesan Soft Pretzels
I’m such a carby! I absolutely love these easy to make soft pretzels that taste just like Auntie Anne’s. They’re ready in just a little over an hour. This post teaches you how to make regular salted pretzels, the cinnamon sugar kind, and my personal favorite – garlic parmesan!
6. Creamy Broccoli Cheese Soup
A creamy, warm and cozy broccoli cheese soup that’s perfect for a cold, rainy day. It’s liquid gold soup! There are a ton of veggies that help make this soup nutritious. It’ll warm you up from the inside out. I’d like to say my soup is better than Panera Breads version, but i’ll let you be the judge of that!
Light, airy, doughy, sweet, glazed French Honey Crullers. These donuts are absolutely addicting. The hubby asked for a second batch all while devouring the one I had just prepared — yes, they’re that good!
4. Jalapeno Lime Chicken Soup {Slow Cooker}
Jalapeno Lime Chicken Soup is a twist on the traditional chicken soup recipe. Can I just say that this is one of my families favorite soups! It’s loaded with fresh Mexican flavors, like, jalapenos, lime juice, cilantro, and salsa verde. With lots of protein from chicken and cannelloni beans. Once you toss all the ingredients into the slow cooker, you just sit back and relax, a few hours and you’ll have the most flavorful soup to enjoy!
3. Spinach Cream Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breast
This chicken dinner, is definitely a winner! My spinach and cream cheese stuffed chicken breast has been featured on the top best chicken breast recipes on BuzzFeed. Stuffed with spinach and cream cheese, these chicken breasts are then coated with panko parmesan breadcrumbs, rolled up, and baked. An easy everyday dinner or perfect for entertaining!
2. Baked Apple Cider Donut Holes
Delicious donut holes that are loaded with the flavors of apple cider and rolled around in cinnamon sugar. These we’re my favorite fall treat. You can use this recipe to make donut holes or donuts, either way, they’re super-moist and soft little pillows. Since they’re baked and not fried, they’re totally waistline friendly 😉
And now, for the #1 most pinned recipe of 2014…
*drumroll*
1. Homemade Minestrone Soup {Slow Cooker}
This recipe! I can’t say enough about it. Even as I was writing this post, I received a notification that someone left a comment praising the deliciousness of this soup! This is the easiest minestrone soup recipe that tastes 1000 times better than the Olive Garden’s version! My version is loaded with good for you veggies, like spinach and zucchini. It’s also protein packed with red kidney beans and great northern beans. You’ll be full for hours from this healthy, nutritious soup. How perfect is this for a healthier 2015?
Thank you guys for following and pinning! It’s YOU that made this list so gosh darn tasty. Let’s make 2015 a good year!
